Networking

The Ag Council has several hundred members and thousands of followers including farmers, landowners, agribusinesses, and others interested in agriculture. Regular meetings throughout the year provide opportunities for our members to engage with farmers, industry leaders, and policy makers.

By joining the Agricultural Council of Arkansas (Ag Council), you become a member of an exclusive and highly influential group. Membership to the Ag Council will give you the opportunity to receive privileged information on Ag Council activities, real-time information on state and federal developments in agriculture affecting Arkansans, tools to increase on-farm productivity and revenues, and a connection to a large number of important members of the agricultural community in Arkansas.

Meetings

Annual Meeting – Each year, the Council holds an annual meeting to discuss membership and Ag Council activities. This meeting occurs in December.

Regular Board of Directors Meeting – The Board of Directors meets approximately once every four months at a time and location determined by the President

Special Meetings – Special meetings may be called when deemed necessary by the President or Executive Board.

Collaborative Ventures

Our network of members has led to the establishment of many collaborative ventures between members and as a whole group. We encourage such networking as an opportunity to seek valuable friendships and business relationships. Idea sharing and collaboration leads to innovation, improvement and growth.

“The Ag Council is the common thread that connects farmers and agribusinesses with similar interests through face-to-face meetings and more recently digital means.”
– producer Lonoke, AR

“The Ag Council provides great networking opportunities. In addition, the workers’ compensation insurance program has saved our operation many thousands of dollars. A membership in the Ag Council is absolutely one of the best values I have ever seen.”
