AGRICULTURAL COUNCIL OF ARKANSAS  (ACA)

ACA continually represents Arkansas’s farm community on many fronts at both state and federal

levels.  There are many benefits in belonging to this organization.  I will take this opportunity to talk

about a few:

-        The ACA leadership identifies issues that can affect your ability to produce a crop efficiently

and economically as we work to improve your opportunities.

-        We work for you on tax, labor, property rights, water issues, crop inputs and other issues in

state government as well as federal legislation.  We listened to Arkansas farmers closely as we worked

with the recent Farm Bill; we defended your position as we met with legislators in D. C.

-        Through membership in ACA, you have the opportunity to interact in leadership

development programs through participation in commodity groups.  We have several members at the

present time who are accessing the opportunity and are working their way through leadership roles in

state and national commodity organizations. Our members serve on several commodity research and

promotion boards and have a voice in how your check-off dollars are spent.  Members of ACA are in

valuable positions in the rice, soybean and wheat industries in our state as well as on the national level.

The bottom line is -------we need
you to continue our efforts as a force in the ever changing

landscape of agriculture.  We are looking forward to hearing from you!
